Scottish Barn Wedding in Autumn

Greig & John

Location: Methven, Scotland
Venue: Bachilton Farm
Grooms' kilts from 21st Century Kilts in Edinburgh

I was invited to be their photographer a record-long time ~1,5 years before the wedding date. Ever since my first hiking trip abroad, it has always been a pleasure for me to come back to Scotland. The land is full of rich history, majestic nature and fun folk, and that is what I am drawn to the most.

The wedding started with the arrival of the guests and having some chit-chat while eagerly waiting for the couple to appear. The ceremony was held outdoors and a combination of sunshine and Humanist's sincere speech made everyone loosen up to truly have a joyful and festive moment. Afterwards we took a stroll around the premises to take some couple shots on the backdrop of a real, working-farm.

Must admit, the guys surprised everyone during their First dance. Instead of dancing with each other, they brought their mothers on the floor. And so, the official part of the day concluded with traditional Ceillidh and the cake.

This was my first same-sex marriage and I am so proud of how these shots turned out!
Please, scroll down to unfold the day!

P.S. Spacial thanks to the Chef for the Haggis and my relatives for the support! :)
